Fire Suppression Systems That Protect Lives and Assets

Fire suppression is one of the most critical building services disciplines. It demands engineers who understand the design standards, the installation requirements, and the importance of getting every detail right. Fergal Warren Mechanical has extensive experience installing fire suppression systems across a wide range of commercial, industrial, and specialist building types throughout Ireland.

What We Do

Wet Pipe Sprinkler Systems

We install wet pipe automatic sprinkler systems in accordance with IS EN 12845 and NFPA 13, for commercial, retail, industrial, healthcare, and residential buildings. Our scope covers the full mechanical installation from the water supply connections and pump sets through to the distribution mains, branch lines, and sprinkler heads throughout the building.

Dry Pipe and Pre-action Systems

Where wet pipe systems are not suitable, for example in unheated warehouses or specialist environments, we install dry pipe and pre-action sprinkler systems. These systems are installed and tested to the same rigorous standards as all our fire suppression work.

Gaseous Suppression Systems

We install total flooding gaseous suppression systems using clean agents including FM-200 and CO2, for applications such as data centres, switch rooms, server rooms, and archive spaces where water-based suppression is not appropriate. All gaseous system installations are carried out in compliance with relevant standards and manufacturer requirements.

Foam Suppression Systems

We have experience installing foam suppression systems for high-hazard industrial applications including flammable liquid stores and specialist manufacturing environments, working to the relevant NFPA and FM Global standards where required.

Pump Sets and Water Storage

We install fire suppression pump sets, jockey pumps, and water storage tanks, including all associated pipework, valving, and electrical connections. All pump sets are installed, tested, and commissioned to the fire suppression system design requirements.

System Testing and Commissioning

All fire suppression systems are subject to a full programme of testing and commissioning before handover. This includes hydraulic testing of the pipework, functional testing of detection and control components, and a final sign-off inspection. Full commissioning records and O&M manuals are provided on handover.

Routine Inspection and Maintenance

We offer planned maintenance contracts for fire suppression systems, covering the periodic inspection, testing, and servicing requirements specified in IS EN 12845 and other relevant standards. Regular maintenance is essential to ensure your system will function as designed when it is needed.
